Our Directors

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Sydes (Sydney) and Narelle McBride (Melbourne) as Directors of Greenwoods & Freehills with effect from 1 July 2011. Their appointment reflects the firm’s continuous growth and acknowledges the exceptional talent within the firm. With their excellent client and technical skills, Daniel’s and Narelle’s appointments add to our position as the premier tax practice in Australia.

Our Background

Greenwoods & Freehills Pty Limited (G&F) is a specialist tax practice and Australia's largest advisory firm practising exclusively in revenue laws.

Established in 1985 with origins back 50 years to the accounting firm Greenwood Challoner, the amalgamation of our personnel qualified in the disciplines of accounting and law enable the firm to offer our clients an appropriate balance between the interpretation and the practical application of tax laws.

G&F is an incorporated legal practice regulated by The Law Society of New South Wales and a practice company under the auspices of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia. It thus reaps the benefits associated with membership of and association with both these bodies.

Further, we are distinguished by the way we integrate our extensive taxation advisory services with the practice groups of leading commercial law firm Freehills.  This strategic and long-term relationship with Freehills allows us to combine tax expertise across all areas of commercial law, including tax litigation and stamp duty. For our clients this means that carriage of such matters is seamless.

Our Community Service
