Andrew White is a Director in the Sydney office of Greenwoods & Freehills Pty Limited with over 10 years tax experience.

Industry Experience

Andrew advises on a range of corporate tax issues, including the provision of extensive advice to clients in the property and funds management industry. He also has a depth of expertise in international tax issues.

He has particular experience in advising on:

• establishing and restructuring listed and unlisted managed funds, including listed stapled security structures;
• structuring offshore property and infrastructure investments, including the establishment of offshore managed funds; 
• structuring inbound investment in Australian managed funds by non-resident investors, including pension fund investors;
• structuring joint venture property development arrangements; direct property investment and divestment; and
• property financing arrangements.

Andrew has been heavily involved in assessing the impacts for his clients from tax reform, including lobbying in relation to TOFA Stages 3 and 4, the Board of Taxation's review of the Foreign Source Income Anti-Tax Deferral Regimes, recent withholding tax changes, the interim Division 6C amendments the Board of Taxation's review of Managed Investment Trusts.

Professional Background

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Economics and Master of Commerce from Macquarie University. Andrew is also a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
