Daniel advises on a wide range of corporate tax issues, with a particular focus on the property construction and development, property funds management, banking and finance and media sectors.

Daniel’s particular areas of expertise include the tax consolidation regime, international structuring, share buy-backs and employee benefit vehicles.

Daniel has extensive experience in advising on tax consolidation implementation projects for major clients such as Lend Lease, BNP-Paribas, Fairfax, and Patricks. He has also advised on ongoing tax consolidation issues, particularly in relation to post-implementation acquisitions and divestments, for Lend Lease, Australand, Investa, Commonwealth Bank, Macquarie Bank and MLC.

Daniel has worked on the creation of international property development funds and other property investment structures for Lend Lease, and Lend Lease’s successful recent litigation matter with the Australian Taxation Office.

Professional Background

Daniel is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW. Daniel holds a Masters of Banking degree, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree and a Bachelor of Commerce degree, all from the University of Wollongong.

Daniel has guest lectured in the University of Sydney Masters of Law program. He also practiced in the United Kingdom for 12 months in an in house role for Lend Lease.
